How to update your NPI record
NPI records come from NPPES, the national registry run by CMS. To change what appears on this site, change it in NPPES; we don't edit records ourselves.
How
- Sign in to NPPES with your I&A account (organizations: the authorized official or a surrogate).
- Open the NPI and edit the practice location, mailing address, phone, taxonomy codes, licenses or other details.
- Submit. CMS usually processes online updates quickly.
You can also mail form CMS-10114, marked as a change, to the NPI Enumerator.
You're required to keep it current
Under 45 CFR 162.410, providers must report changes to their NPPES information within 30 days. Insurers and other providers rely on it, and an out-of-date address or taxonomy can delay payments.
When this site updates
We load the complete NPPES file each month. A change you make in NPPES appears here after the next monthly file is published and loaded. Our data was last updated on Nov 3, 2026.
